After the success of the 2016 Modest Fashion Week in Istanbul, Modanisa will host its second annual international fashion event in London.
Muslims reportedly spent $266 billion on clothing and accessories in 2013, proving once again that modest fashion is huge market for consumers worldwide. It’s also estimated that by 2019, they will spend about $484 billion. Brands like MANGO, Dolce & Gabbana, DKNY, and H&M have all launched modest fashion lines in recent years.

To better expand the modest fashion world, Modanisa is bringing together Muslim fashion pioneers from all across the globe including designers, bloggers, and artists for London Modest Fashion Week. Held on April 15-16 at the Olympia London, the sold out weekend will be filled with fashion shows featuring the world’s most prestigious modest Muslim brands (Mayovera, Aidijuma, Fllumae and more) and panel discussions with influencers like filmmaker Samah Safi Bayazid, IMG model Halima Aden, lifestyle blogger WithLoveLeena and Melanie Elturk of Haute Hijab.

The weekend will also host the premiere of a short film titled “Just Like You” produced and directed by Muslim filmmaking partners Muhammad and Samah Bayazid. The film will explore the role of hijab in everyday life.
